TIBETAN GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF MAHAKALA
$0.00
A very well-developed bronze example of Mahakala, retaining much of its original gilding and paint. Standing in an eight-legged dance position. His robust body is wearing a belt of heads, jewels and a tiger pelt. Mahakala holds the pelt with two of his six arms. A very intense look is shared by all three of his faces. Atop is a crown of skulls and animal heads that support a fantastic amount of reaching and waving hair.
Tibet, 17th century
