A fine small rectangular gilt lacquer kodansu decorated with a maple tree in the fall, blooming prunus trees, lilies near a pond, pine trees on a mountain and wisteria. The box is mounted with finely engraved silver. The three drawer interior is also decorated with prunus blossoms and chrysanthemum shaped silver mounts.
